
OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- Senior forward Chad Underwood picked up his second straight Midwest Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week award after helping Mount Mercy extend its winning streak to seven games last week.
Underwood averaged 30 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in victories over Clarke and Iowa Wesleyan. He shot 68.8 percent from the floor overall, including 60 percent from 3-point range. Underwood was also a perfect 10-of-10 at the free throw line while climbing to fourth on Mount Mercy's career scoring chart with 1,537 points.
The Mustangs (18-2, 3-0 MCC) are on the road at Grand View on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. before hosting fourth-ranked William Penn on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Hennessey Recreation Center.
