DAVENPORT, Iowa -- A pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh inning gave St. Ambrose a come-from-behind victory and a sweep of Mount Mercy in Tuesday's Midwest Collegiate Conference baseball doubleheader at Modern Woodmen Park.

The Mustang offense was kept in check all day and totaled just four hits in a 5-0 loss in game one. Senior left fielder Vincent Pantaleo had half of those hits in three plate appearances. Freshman right-hander Bailey Hollingsworth (2-3) surrendered three earned runs on seven hits in five innings.

Mount Mercy scored twice in the first and again in the third to lead 3-2 heading into the seventh inning, but it didn't hold up as the Bees plated two runs in the bottom half to get the 4-3 win. The Mustangs managed just four hits and got RBIs from senior designated hitter Joe Arnold, senior third baseman Jun Endo and senior second baseman Scott Thornton.

Senior righty Abe Carrasco (1-5) went the distance for Mount Mercy, striking out five and walking three while allowing three earned runs on six hits. The Mustangs (4-21-1, 0-2 MCC) host a four-game set with Viterbo (Wis.) on Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Ken Charipar Field in Cedar Rapids.
