Higgins, the MCC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, posted four top-three finishes at the Ashford Invitational. She won the javelin (156'-5") and long jump (17'-6") while helping the 4x100 meter relay team to second place (:49.32) and the 4x400 meter relay squad to a third-place finish (4:16.24). Higgins leads the nation in the javelin and has the best long jump mark in the MCC.
Wilden, the MCC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, placed in the top four in three events at Ashford. She reached the NAIA's automatic qualifying mark while setting a school record in the 100 meter hurdles (:14.77) and helped the 4x100 meter relay team to a runner-up finish (:49.32). Wilden also won the high jump with an NAIA provisonal qualifying mark (5'-5").
