CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Weather permitting, all three Midwest Collegiate Conference championships will resume tomorrow. Plans are in place to finish the MCC Baseball Tournament and begin the MCC Softball Tournament and MCC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The MCC Baseball Tournament, which began on Tuesday at Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo, will conclude on Saturday at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport. Game eight between William Penn and St. Ambrose will kick things off at 10:00 a.m., with Mount Mercy and Grand View set to finish their game seven, suspended by rain on Thursday in Cedar Rapids, at 1:00 p.m. The survivor will face Viterbo (Wis.) at 2:30 p.m.
At least one more game will follow at 5:30 p.m. If necessary, the final game of the tournament will be played at 8:30 p.m. With a 70 percent chance of rain in the Quad Cities tomorrow, the MCC's representative at the NAIA national tournament may not be decided on the field. If not, an automatic qualifier will be chosen based on the status of the tournament. If no games are played tomorrow, Viterbo will get the league's automatic bid to nationals since the V-Hawks are undefeated in the MCC Tournament.
The MCC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will now take place on Saturday and Sunday at the Lacey Track in Oskaloosa. Action gets underway with field events beginning at noon on Saturday. Track events will get started at 2:00 p.m. Then on Sunday, field events start at 9:00 a.m., with track events set to go at noon in Oskaloosa. Click here for the entire meet schedule.

All six teams will be included, with play beginning on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with sixth-seeded Viterbo (Wis.) against third-seeded Mount Mercy. Here's a link to the complete bracket.
