CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Freshmen Cori Peterzalek and Leslie Hoffmann combined for 23 kills nine total blocks to help the Mount Mercy volleyball team sweep Faith Baptist and end a four-match losing streak on Tuesday at Hennessey Recreation Center.

Peterzalek totaled 12 kills and four total blocks while Hoffmann ended up with 11 kills and five blocks. Freshman Kaitlyn Boyd added seven kills, sophomore Allie McQuiston 34 assists and freshman Kirsten Peterson nine digs in Mount Mercy's 25-17, 25-17, 25-19 victory.

The Mustangs (4-7) have three matches coming up on Saturday. Two of those will be at Roosevelt (Ill.) in Chicago. Mount Mercy faces Huntington (Ind.) at 10:00 a.m. and the host Lakers at noon. Then, the Mustangs move on to Elgin, Ill., to play Judson (Ill.) at 5:30 p.m.
