LAWRENCE, Kan. -- The Mount Mercy cross country teams competed at the site of the NAIA national championships on Saturday, racing at the Rim Rock Collegiate Classic hosted by the University of Kansas.

The Mustangs ran against a field mostly comprised of NCAA Division I competitors. On the men's side, senior TJ Mosbach led the way for Mount Mercy, finishing 30th overall and sixth against the non-Division I group with a time of 26:22 in the 8K. Junior Tyler Hartley was 36th overall (26:38).

Freshman Evan Bowman finished 51st (27:15), senior Mitch Johnson 81st (28:32), senior Andre Moodie 84th (28:41), freshman Tyler Steele 86th (28:44), sophomore Erik Ryan 92nd (29:08), freshman Devin Stone 100th (30:54) and freshman Eric Hansen 109th (33:36).

Sophomore Liz Mosbach placed 67th overall and 15th against the non-Division I field in the 6K for the Mount Mercy women.  Her time was 24:25. Senior Mackenzie Holladay was 77th (25:06), sophomore Dana Ewan 81st (25:16), junior Eveline Niyokwizigigwa 82nd (25:16) and senior Anne Bruno 84th (25:34).

Freshman Katie Hoffert came in 87th (25:44), freshman Allison Scott 88th (25:45), freshman Kelsey Feldman 90th (25:50), senior Wendi Dunn 97th (26:19), junior Katerina Althoff 105th (27:02), freshman Abby Martin 107th (27:10) and sophomore Emilie Jacobson 115th (28:07).

The Mustangs will race at the Lamb-Kohawk Invitational hosted by Coe on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids.
