CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The 13th Annual Mount Mercy Track & Field and Cross Country Pancake Breakfast fundraiser will take place on Sunday, April 23, from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in Cherry Heritage Hall on the Mount Mercy campus. The annual event will feature pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and other items. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for Mount Mercy students and children five and under are free. They can be purchased at the door or in advance from the track & field and cross country student-athletes.
Sunday's event comes on the heels of the Rittgers Invitational at Coe College on Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. It's one of two outdoor meets in the metro area. The Mustangs competed at the Cornell Invitational on April 8 in Mount Vernon. After the meet at Coe, Mount Mercy's remaining schedule includes the Drake Relays on April 28-29 in Des Moines, the Heart of America Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships May 5-6 in Oskaloosa and a last chance qualifier on May 12. The NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships are May 25-27 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
