Photo of Laura WilbergONALASKA, Wis. -- The Mount Mercy women's golf team improved seven strokes from opening round to final round and finished fourth at the Viterbo (Wis.) Fall Invitational at the La Crosse Country Club on Monday.

The host V-Hawks won their own tournament with a 713 team total that included rounds of 345 and 368. Waldorf was runner-up at 743 (354-389), followed by Grand View at 744 (369-375) and Mount Mercy at 771 (389-382).

Lauren Lindsley of Viterbo shot 82 and 88 to earn medalist honors with a 170 total. Mount Mercy sophomore Laura Wilberg finished sixth after rounds of 93 and 88 gave her a 188 total. Freshman Bailee Goodfellow tied for 11th (91-99=190), sophomore Katelyn Hufford tied for 20th (104-93=197), sophomore Kristine Kouba placed 26th (101-102=203), and sophomore Jessica Mrkvicka 29th (109-115=224).

Mount Mercy hosts the Mustang Four Ball Classic this weekend at Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Marion. Play starts at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
