Photo of Katie ManningPhoto of Mackenzie SkayCEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Maria Vilar and Ashley Kass teamed up for the go-ahead score in the 59th minute to propel Clarke to a 3-1 win over Mount Mercy in Midwest Collegiate Conference women's soccer Tuesday at Lower Kingston Field.

Sophomore forward Mackenzie Skay tied the match in the 57th minute with her 11th goal of the year, which is fourth on Mount Mercy's single-season chart. Nearly three minutes later, Vilar put the Crusaders (5-4-3, 3-1-1 MCC) back in front for good, and Clarke's Meghan Mulloy added an insurance score in the 73rd minute to finish the scoring.

Senior goalkeeper Katie Manning saved 12 shots for the Mustangs (5-8-1, 0-4-0 MCC), while Clarke's Katie Schmidt stopped three shots on goal.

Mount Mercy's four-game homestand continues on Saturday when Viterbo (Wis.) visits Lower Kingston Field for an 11:00 a.m. match.
