CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- A score by Autumn Stephens just before halftime was all the offense Grand View needed, and the Vikings held on to defeat the Mount Mercy women's soccer team, 1-0, in Midwest Collegiate Conference action on Seniors Day Saturday at Lower Kingston Field.

Senior goalkeeper Katie Manning did her best to keep the Mustangs (7-9-1, 2-5-0 MCC) in the game, stopping 12 of Grand View's 13 shots on goal. The Vikings (7-8-2, 4-1-2 MCC) outshot Mount Mercy, 21-7, and had 13 shots on goal compared to just four by the Mustangs.

Mount Mercy wraps up the regular season next weekend, traveling to Oskaloosa to take on William Penn in league play on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
