CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Mount Mercy women's soccer team is seeded eighth and will host ninth-seeded Iowa Wesleyan in the first round of the Midwest Collegiate Conference Tournament on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Lower Kingston Field.

The Mustangs finished the regular season at 7-10-1 overall and 2-6-0 in league play after a 2-0 loss at William Penn on Saturday in Oskaloosa. The winner of Wednesday's tournament opener advances to face top-seeded St. Ambrose (15-1-1, 7-0-1 MCC) in Saturday's quarterfinals in Davenport.

Other quarterfinal matchups on Saturday include seventh-seeded William Penn (7-9-1, 2-5-1 MCC) at second-seeded Clarke (7-5-4, 5-1-2 MCC), sixth-seeded Waldorf (7-10-1, 2-5-1 MCC) at third-seeded Grand View (7-9-2, 4-2-2 MCC), and fifth-seeded Ashford (11-5-1, 4-3-1 MCC) at fourth-seeded Viterbo (Wis.) (7-9-1, 4-3-1 MCC).
