CLINTON, Iowa -- Mount Mercy had won its last two league matches, but Ashford brought that winning streak to an end with a 25-20, 25-17, 25-17 defeat of the Mustangs in Midwest Collegiate Conference volleyball on Wednesday at Kehl Arena.

Freshman outside hitter Brittney Thomas dropped 11 kills on the Saints, and also collected eight digs for the Mustangs (17-17, 2-5 MCC). Sophomore outside hitter Becca Lampe added seven kills, junior middle blocker Jena Blint three blocks, and freshman setter Hope Baumgartner 12 assists.

Mount Mercy wraps up the regular season at William Penn in MCC action on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Oskaloosa.
