Mount Mercy baseballCEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Mount Mercy baseball team will look to snap a four-game losing streak when they travel to Tennessee for six games against NAIA competition over spring break.

All but one of the teams received votes in the NAIA's preseason poll. The Mustangs (6-12), who also earned a vote in the Baseball Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll, open the trip with a doubleheader against Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Henderson, Tenn.

Mount Mercy moves on to Jackson, Tenn., to face Lambuth (Tenn.) on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Union (Tenn.) on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. The Mustangs wrap up the trip with a doubleheader with Martin Methodist (Tenn.) on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Pulaski, Tenn.

Mount Mercy opens Midwest Collegiate Conference action when they return, playing a three-game set at Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday-Sunday, March 27-28, in Mount Pleasant. First pitch is at 1:00 p.m. both day. The home opener for the Mustangs comes on Wednesday, March 31, against William Penn at 5:00 p.m. at Xavier High School.
