Smith was the league's top pitcher for the fourth straight week and fifth time this season. The sophomore right-hander won all three games in the MCC Tournament Final Four. She allowed four earned runs on 11 hits while striking out 27 and walking one in 21 innings. Smith also broke her own single-season strikeout mark and now has 279 this season. At the plate, she was 5-for-9 (.556) with a pair of doubles and her seventh home run.

Canady, Mount Mercy's senior center fielder, was the team's offensive spark at the MCC Tournament Final Four. She was 6-for-8 (.750) with a double, two triples, and four stolen bases in three games. Canady was instrumental in Sunday's win over William Penn in the championship game, going 3-for-3 with a double, triple, and stolen base while scoring two of the Mustangs' three runs.
