WAUWATOSA, Wis. -- The Mount Mercy men's and women's bowling teams made their debut over the weekend at the 2011 Midwest Collegiate Tournament at the AMF Bowlero.

The Mustang men finished 34th out of 42 teams and were led by Shane Arment, who placed 93rd in a 301-man field with an average of 180.44. Other Mount Mercy competitors were Nathan Wright (173.39 avg.), Jacob Jones (169.86), Dylan Walters (167.57), Ryan Miller (175.17), Austin Czerwiec (167.00), Ehren Merfeld (161.33) and Austin Patterson (179.00).

On the women's side, the Mustangs were 22nd out of 30 teams. Audrey Manternach's 175.33 scoring average led Mount Mercy. Right behind her were Nicole Nelson (173.44), Naomi Fisher (168.00), Kathryn Wheeler (156.75), Molly O'Brien (136.00), and Breanna Fecht (114.33).

The Mustangs will be in action again on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22-23, at the Kegel/ISPBA Collegiate Classic at Stardust Bowl in Addison, Ill.
