ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Freshman Shane Arment totaled 1,248 pins in six games for a 208.00 average, leading the Mount Mercy men's bowling squad to seventh place at the Minnesota Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Midway Pro Bowl.
Freshman Dylan Walters came in 28th, finishing with 1,095 pins and a 182.50 scoring average. Junior Ryan Schlueter posted a 179.83 average with 1,079 pins in six games to finish 31st. Freshman Nathan Wright totaled 871 pins and a 174.20 average in five games, freshman Jacob Jones had 512 pins and a 170.67 mark in three games and freshman Ryan Miller averaged 166 with 332 pins in two games. Freshmen Ahren Merfeld (186) and Austin Patterson (154) rolled one game each.
Midland (Neb.) beat 10 other teams for the team title with 9,967 pins. William Penn finished second with 9,709 pins, followed by Minnesota State-Mankato (9,364), North Dakota State (9,182), Wisconsin-Stout (9,143), Mount Mercy (8,910) and Iowa State (8,896).
The Mustangs go to Oshkosh Lanes in Oshkosh, Wis., for the Titan Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19-20.
