DAVENPORT, Iowa -- The Mount Mercy men's bowling team wrapped up the fall competition schedule at the ISYL Leatherneck Classic on Saturday and Sunday at Miller Time Bowling and Milan Lanes.
The Mustangs were 21st in a field of 29 teams. Freshman Shane Arment finished 53rd out of 293 competitors with 1,202 pins and a scoring average of 200.33 over six games. Freshman Nathan Wright totaled 1,165 pins and maintained a 194.17 average to place 69th. Freshmen Dylan Walters and Austin Patterson tied for 91st, each with 1,115 pins and a 185.83 average.
Also competing for the Mustangs were junior Ryan Schlueter (104th/1,080 pins/180.00 avg.) and freshmen Ryan Miller (127th/1,035 pins/172.50 avg.), Ehren Merfeld (139th/1,012 pins/168.67 avg.), Jacob Jones (150th/989 pins/164.83 avg.) and Austin Czerwiec (156th/983 pins/163.83 avg.) and senior Jamie Zaruba (182nd/884 pins/147.33 avg.).
The Mustangs will be back in action again at the Roto Grip Eagles Baker Challenge on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 14-15, at the Bowling Green Sports Center in West Chicago, Ill.
