MARION, Ind. -- It was another great start to a national championship event for Mount Mercy. Senior Jenna Higgins won her second national title in the javelin and senior Mwale Kapande became an all-American in the long jump at the 33rd Annual NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships today at Indiana Wesleyan University.
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Mount Mercy seniors Jenna Higgins, Larissa Wilden and Mwale Kapande and freshman Maryann Dike are looking for big things this week when the Mustangs compete at the 33rd Annual NAIA Outdoor Track & field National Championships in Marion, Ind.
OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- On the heels of a dominating performance at the Midwest Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend, Mount Mercy's Jenna Higgins has been named the MCC Women's Track Athlete of the Week for May 6.
OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- Mount Mercy athletes earned an individual title and the Mustangs were runner-up in four more events in a fourth-place finish at the Midwest Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- All three Midwest Collegiate Conference championships have been postponed today. The league is still working on a plan to finish the MCC Baseball Tournament on Saturday, while new schedules have been posted for the MCC Outdoor Track & Field Championships and the MCC Softball Tournament.
