Mount Mercy Athletic Training Staff Named Heart Training Staff of the Year
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Mount Mercy athletic training staff has been named the 2025-26 Heart Athletic Training Staff of the Year in recognition of its outstanding commitment to student-athlete health, professional excellence, and service to the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
Throughout the year, the Mount Mercy athletic training staff provided exceptional care and support to student-athletes across multiple sports while also serving as a valuable resource to visiting institutions and championship participants. Their dedication to creating a welcoming, professional environment reflects the highest standards of athletic training and exemplifies the role athletic trainers play in the success of intercollegiate athletics.
In addition to supporting Mount Mercy's athletic programs, the staff played a critical role in hosting numerous conference and national championship events. During the 2025-26 academic year, Mount Mercy served as the host site for the Heart Cross Country Championships, Heart Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Heart Softball Championship, the NAIA Men's Volleyball National Championship, and multiple Heart Conference Tournament contests. Through each event, the athletic training staff demonstrated exceptional organization, professionalism, and a commitment to providing quality care for every participating student-athlete.
