Reeve to take over cheer & dance programs

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Chelsea Reeve will take over the Mount Mercy competitive cheer & dance programs beginning Sept. 27, Athletic Director Paul Gavin announced today.

"Chelsea brings the energy and passion necessary to lead our competitive cheer and dance programs," said Gavin. "I look forward to seeing her build on the success that these programs have achieved the past five years."

Reeve brings extensive cheerleading experience to Mount Mercy. She was an All-Star Cheerleader, captain of the cheerleading team at the University of Northern Iowa, and an NCA Summer Camp staff member. Reeve has also coached youth cheerleading and gymnastics.

Reeve graduated from UNI in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in anthropology. "I'm so excited to join the Mount Mercy community and continue to develop the cheerleading and dance programs," said Reeve. "I hope to inspire my student-athletes to work hard and better themselves in their athletic endeavors and in the classroom."
