Mustangs debut cheer routines at Grand View
DES MOINES, Iowa - Over the weekend, the Mount Mercy cheerleading squad traveled to Grand View to compete in the Viking Classic and the Grand View Invitational on Sunday, Jan. 29.
The competitions featured Mount Mercy, St. Ambrose, Grand View, and Waldorf. Despite being a primarily first-year student team, losing a team member to injury in the first event, and having to put someone in a base position they had never practiced in the second event, the cheer team was still able to increase their score.
