Mustangs Place Ninth at McKendree Match Games
FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. - The Mount Mercy men's bowling team placed ninth at the McKendree Match Games, taking place in Illinois over the weekend.
The Mustangs ended in ninth at 8206 pins, as NCAA DI Purdue ended the qualifying stages in first place with 8577 pins. Host McKendree ended in second at 8566, while SCAD Savannah and Newman rounded out the top four.
Zach Andresen led the Mustangs with a top 25 finish, ending in 23rd with a total pinfall of 1069, good for an average of just under 214 per game. Robert Vater rounded out the Mustangs in the top 100 in 96th place, bowling a tournament score of 940, good for an average of 188.
The Mustangs will next return to the lanes at the Warhawk Open starting on Dec. 6.
