Mustangs Secure Tournament Win at Glenn Carlson Invitational

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Mustang men's bowling team enjoyed another tournament win, highlighting a successful tournament weekend before the holiday break.

At the Glenn Carlson Invitational, the Mustangs would end the eight game qualifying in first place with a total pin count of 8811, topping Wichita State by 108 pins. Blake Walsh and Keegan Alexander both found themselves on the all-tournament team, ending in second and fifth place, respectively. Walsh ended his portion of the tournament with a total pin count of 1868, missing the top spot by two pins, bowling an average of 233.5. Walsh would bowl games of 266 and 267 to highlight a top two finish. Alexander would end his tournament with a total pin count of 1804, bowling games of 254 and 257 to land on the all tournament team.

In the Collegiate Shootout, the top two teams would flip from the previous tournament as Wichita State took home first place, while the Mustangs ended qualifying in second with a pin count of 8922. Zach Andresen would lead the Mustangs to the second place finish, ending in eighth place with a total pin count of 1165, tied with two other bowlers. Andresen bowled a tournament high 280 in his second game.

The Mustangs will return to the lanes after the holiday break, taking on the BPA Kegel Midwest Collegiate Classic on January 17.
