Men's Bowling Wins Pair at NAIA Championships to Advance to Title Match

LANSING, Mich. - The Mustang men's bowling team secured their spot in the NAIA national championship match after taking a pair of games against Indiana Tech.

The day started with a clean sweep, as the Mustangs would defeat the Warriors of Indiana Tech two games to zero, sending the Warriors to the losers side of the bracket after their first loss. The Warriors would rebound with a win over fourth seeded Calumet St. Joseph, setting up a rematch with the Mustangs. The Mustangs would edge out the Warriors in pin count, 888 to 876, and with the result, secure their spot in the title match in their first season of NAIA play.

The battle for the red banner will take place tomorrow, as the Mustangs await the winner of sixth seeded Marian (Ind.) and second seeded Lawrence Tech (Mich.), with the title match beginning at 11 a.m. ET / 10 a.m. CT.
