Dreckman, Mia, Richardson, Headington garner Heart postseason honors
OLATHE, Kan. -- Mount Mercy standouts Madison Dreckman, Sammy Mia, Kyla Richardson, and Annika Headington were named to all-conference teams by a vote of league coaches when the Heart of America Athletic Conference announced postseason awards this week.
Dreckman was a first-team selection after starting 29 of 30 games for the Mustangs, finishing as the team's second-leading scorer and third-leading rebounder at 10.7 points and 6.7 boards per game. She also ranked second in assists at two per outing.
Mia garnered second-team honors after ranking as Mount Mercy's top scorer at 13.6 points per contest. She also shared the team lead with 42 steals and was third on the squad with 1.7 assists per game.
Richardson and Headington received honorable mention. Richardson's 10.5 points per outing ranked second for the Mustangs and she also averaged 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. Headington's freshman season saw her lead the team in rebounding (7.1 rpg) and assists (3.0 apg) while scoring eight points per contest.
