Women's Bowling Captures Hoosier Classic Crown
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Mustang women's bowling team had to come from behind to qualify for bracket play at the Hoosier Classic, but the squad would end up winning the tournament and capturing another tournament victory.
The Mustangs would end qualifying on day one with 4827 pins. The team was able to claw back in baker games, as a 269 in the sixth game helped propel them to earn a qualifying spot. In bracket play, the Mustangs took down fellow Heart opponent William Penn in three games, while sweeping Milligan in the semifinals. In the championship, the Mustangs swept Pikeville, taking all three games to earn another tournament win.
Savannah Dickson finished first on the team individually, while finishing 25th overall with a total pin count of 1025, good for an average of 205 over five games. Nada Abdul Jalil wasn't far behind, ending in 31st overall with a total pinfall of 1018, good for an average of 203.6
With the regular season now in the books, the Mustangs look to capture another tournament win, this time at the Heart Championships, set to take place next weekend.
