Mustangs Place Third on Opening Day of Virginia McCoy Fall Invitational

PARKVILLE, Mo. - Three Mustang women's golfers placed in the top-15 as the team placed third on the opening day of the Virginia McCoy Fall Invitational, hosted by Park University.

In ninth place overall was Carli Irvine. The Canada native fired off a nine over round, as she carded a birdie on the par three 16th. She would also record eight pars in her round. Just one shot behind her was Grace Haas, ending in 13th place. Haas would card five pars on the front nine while adding along five more on the back.

In 15th was Sophia Honeyman, who finished at 11 over. Honeyman added five pars on her front nine while carding a birdie on the par three 14th. The final countable score belonged to Gracie Murray, who ended at 15 over. Murray added two pars on the front followed by four on the back.

The Mustangs will complete the Virginia McCoy Fall Invitational on Tuesday in Parkville.
