Knepper Advances to Steeplechase Finals on Day One of NAIA Championships

MARIAN, Ind. - Mount Mercy's women's track and field team kicked off the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships on a strong note, with Abby Knepper advancing to the finals of the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Knepper placed third in her preliminary heat with a time of 11:10.86, securing a spot in Friday's final, which is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.

The Mustangs return to action on Thursday, as Corinne Gadient will compete in the 800-meter run, with the race set to begin at approximately 2:30 p.m.
