Bio

Hackbarth is in his first season on the Mount Mercy coaching staff, working primarily with hitters and infielders. He returned to Mount Mercy following a successful playing career that included time at McHenry County College and Mount Mercy University.

Hackbarth played at McHenry County College, where the team won 85 games over his two seasons. During his sophomore year, he earned all-conference honorable mention recognition. He later transferred to Mount Mercy, where he was a member of the Mustangs’ 2024 Heart of America Athletic Conference championship team. In his senior season, the Mustangs made another NAIA regional appearance, and Hackbarth was named second-team all-conference at second base while also earning all-tournament honors at the Heart of America postseason tournament.
