CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Grand View scored three times in the first half and added a pair of goals after intermission to defeat the Mount Mercy women's soccer team, 5-0, in a Heart of America Athletic Conference match on Wednesday evening at Hadzic Field.
The Mustangs have four regular season matches left, and will take an overall record of 3-7-1 and 2-6-0 league mark into Saturday's Senior Day contest against Evangel at noon at Hadzic Field. Grand View improved to 7-4-3 overall and 6-1-2 in the Heart.
Ava D'Ambrosio, Miran Sakai, Eden Campbell, and Nathalie Primbs had Mount Mercy's four shot attempts in the match with the Vikings. Sakai and Campbell put theirs on-frame, but they were stopped by Grand View goalkeepers Trinity Engelhardt and Gabby Burman. Mustang keeper Jasmin Aeschlimann faced eight shots on-goal and made three saves.
